TradingView Plus vs Premium: which plan should you buy?

Premium costs twice as much as Plus. Here's exactly what the extra money buys, using TradingView's own plan limits, and how to tell whether you need it.

Two TradingView-style plan cards, Plus and Premium, side by side with chart layouts

Quick answer

Choose Plus if you watch up to 4 charts at once, use up to 10 indicators per chart and run fewer than 100 price alerts. Choose Premium if you regularly hit those limits: Premium doubles charts per tab to 8, raises indicators to 25 per chart, alerts to 400 and historical bars from 10K to 20K. On annual billing, Plus is $29.95 a month and Premium $59.95.

Who Plus is for

Plus suits active traders who like several timeframes side by side. Four charts per tab covers a common setup, such as daily, 4-hour, 1-hour and 15-minute views of one market, and 100 price alerts is plenty for most swing traders and part-time day traders.

Who Premium is for

Premium is built for heavy users. Pay for it if one of these is true:

  • You run more than 100 alerts across a big watchlist.
  • You want more than 4 charts on one screen, for example across a multi-monitor setup.
  • Your strategies stack more than 10 indicators on one chart.
  • You backtest or scroll far back on intraday charts and need 20K historical bars instead of 10K.

If none of these apply, Premium mostly buys headroom you won't use.

A simple test before you pay

Start on Plus, or a free trial, and use it for a normal week. If you keep deleting indicators to make room, run out of alerts or wish you had more charts per tab, move up to Premium. If you never fill four charts, consider Essential instead. Our pricing guide covers every tier.
