Quick answer
Cancel from your TradingView account's subscription settings. Your plan won't renew, and paid access continues until the end of the term you've already paid for. A free trial stops as soon as you cancel it. Refunds are only available for annual plans, requested from TradingView support within 14 calendar days of payment. Monthly plans, upgrades and market data aren't refundable.
How do you cancel a TradingView subscription?
- Sign in on the webOpen tradingview.com and sign in to the account that holds the subscription.
- Open your subscription settingsFrom your profile menu, go to the billing or subscription section of your account settings. TradingView's menu labels can change, so look for the page that shows your current plan and renewal date.
- Cancel the renewalChoose the option to cancel or turn off auto-renewal and confirm.
- Check the confirmationYour plan should now show an end date rather than a renewal date. Keep the confirmation email.
If you subscribed in the TradingView mobile app, the payment was taken by the App Store or Google Play. Those subscriptions are normally managed in your Apple or Google account's subscription settings, so check there too.
What happens after you cancel?
According to TradingView's pricing FAQ, your subscription won't auto-renew after the current paid term, and paid service stays active for the rest of that term. You keep your charts, layouts and watchlists. Once the term ends, the account drops to the free Basic plan and its lower limits: 1 chart per tab, 2 indicators per chart and 3 price alerts.
Trials work differently: TradingView says a cancelled trial stops immediately. If you want to keep exploring paid features until the last day, cancel near the end of the trial rather than on day one.
Can you get a refund from TradingView?
Sometimes. TradingView's refund policy, quoted from its pricing FAQ, is narrow:
| Situation | Refund? |
|---|---|
| Annual plan, within 14 calendar days of payment | Yes, request it from TradingView support |
| Annual plan, after 14 days | No |
| Monthly plan, even if cancelled the same day | No |
| Upgrade to a more expensive plan | No |
| Market data subscriptions | No |
| You filed a chargeback or payment dispute | Not eligible |
Request the refund through TradingView support, not your bank. TradingView says users who file a chargeback or dispute aren't eligible for a refund.
How to avoid paying for a plan you don't want
- Test on a trial or monthly plan first. See which limits you actually hit before committing to a year. Our free trial guide explains how the trial works.
- Buy annual only when you're sure. You get 14 days to change your mind, and annual billing saves about 13–17%.
- Time big purchases for Black Friday. TradingView's yearly sale is usually its deepest discount. See the Black Friday 2026 guide.
- Downgrade instead of cancelling if you only need fewer features. Compare plans in our pricing guide.
