Is TradingView Premium worth it?

Premium costs $719.40 a year on annual billing. For some traders that's cheap for what it does; for most, it's paying for limits they'll never reach.

A scale weighing the cost of TradingView Premium against chart and alert limits

Quick answer

TradingView Premium is worth it if you trade full-time or near it and regularly hit Plus's limits: more than 4 charts per tab, more than 10 indicators per chart, more than 100 alerts or more than 10K historical bars. For casual investors and part-time swing traders, Plus or Essential usually does the job for half the price or less. If you do want Premium, buying annual during TradingView's Black Friday sale has historically been the cheapest way.

What does Premium cost per year?

BillingPer monthPer year
Annual$59.95$719.40
Monthly$69.95$839.40

USD before tax, from TradingView's pricing page. Annual billing saves $120 a year.

What Premium adds over Plus

  • 8 charts per tab instead of 4
  • 25 indicators per chart instead of 10
  • 400 price alerts and 400 technical alerts instead of 100 each
  • 20K historical bars instead of 10K
  • 50 parallel chart connections instead of 20

When Premium is worth it

  • You trade daily and manage large watchlists with many alerts.
  • You run multi-chart, multi-monitor layouts and want 8 charts in one tab.
  • You build or test indicator-heavy strategies.
  • You need deeper intraday history for backtesting.

For someone trading for income, $60 a month is often a small cost next to commissions and data. The question is whether you'll use the limits.

When it isn't

  • You check charts a few times a week, or mostly hold long-term.
  • You've never filled four charts or used more than a handful of alerts.
  • You're still learning. Start on a trial or monthly plan instead of committing a year.

In those cases Plus ($29.95) or Essential ($12.95, annual billing) gives you the essentials. Our pricing guide lists every tier.
